Right now, we charge £7 a pitch (indoor boot sale) - but quite a few people have told me to put it up!

For example, about 15 miles away, a hard standing week-day boot sale on the outskirts of London charges £15 for cars and £25 for vans,

And my most local giant outdoor boot sale is Denham or Taplow, and they are both £11 for cars!

I have never seen a carboot fair charging 11 or 15 quid and nor would I pay that!! That is a terrible price for a mere car booter.

I Know it is difficult to weed out the ones who are regular traders and the ones who are one offs but charging more than 7 or 8 pounds is not very fair on the one offs who want to clear out their attics....which is what carboots are all about, when all said and done.

Hello
I am a car boot operator in Somerset and run at 4 different locations, we only charge £5 per car here and the price has not changed since 2006.

I personally think that during the present climate it is best to keep sellers pitches as low as possible!

Here in Devon they are from £5 to £7 for cars, more for vans or trailers, which I think is fair. This is for ordinary car booters. I don't know how much the market traders have to pay.  Any more & as Little Tinker says, people would think twice about going if they were charged more per pitch. Having typed that I know organisers do charge more in the London area.
